The Ben Enwonwu Masterworks Series

The Ben Enwonwu Masterworks Series is a long-term publishing initiative of Revilo, produced in partnership with the Ben Enwonwu Foundation. Through original scholarship, archival research, newly commissioned essays and previously unpublished materials, the series explores the major works, ideas and enduring legacy of Ben Enwonwu (1917–1994), one of the most influential figures in the history of modern African art.Each volume is devoted to a single masterpiece or a defining theme within Enwonwu’s artistic practice, offering fresh perspectives on the cultural, intellectual and historical contexts that shaped his work. Together, the series seeks to deepen understanding of Enwonwu’s contribution to African and global art history while making important archival resources available to scholars, students and general readers.The titles listed below are currently in development.
